BRIAN CLEMENS
Brian was born and raised in Upstate New York, where fishing is handed down from generation to generation and some of his earliest memories are fishing with his family. At 17 he joined the Untied States Air Force, eventually becoming a U2 Aircraft Mechanic and stationed at Beale AFB, CA. After seperating he decided to stay in the area and picked up his first fly rod in 2005. Since then, his fishy endeavors have included fisheries in California, Oregon, Nevada, Cacun, New York and even Alaska. Brian started guiding in 2009 and enjoys chasing steelhead, trout, striper, shad, and salmon and guides on the Yuba, Feather, Trinity, Lower Sac, Klamath and American Rivers. While he guides/teaches/fishes all facets of fly fishing, he's acquired a special affliction for steelhead on the swing. In doing so he's become very talented in demystifying the spey cast, gear/lines, dos n don't and the art of swinging. His guiding philosophy and approach is that he's a teacher first and a guide second and in doing so you become a more skillful angler. Some have called guiding a job, for Brian, it's pure enjoyment. The enjoyment watching those around him, from young to old and newcomers to well-seasoned anglers having good times and tight lines all across Northern California.
